Wilderness Girls
Where wild hearts grow strong hands.
Who We Are
Wilderness Girls is a Louisiana nonprofit led by two female founders, where girls learn practical life skills through hands-on outdoor activities such as animal care, fire cooking, and growing food. It emphasizes nature, fun, and community while encouraging self sufficiency, outdoor education and familial participation to foster family connectedness — all with muddy boots and full hearts. This is a place for unplugged adventure, lifelong skills, and homemade memories.
Our Mission
To raise confident, capable, kind-hearted girls who know how to care for themselves, their families, and the world around them — starting with nature. Through hands-on learning, we focus on compassion, caring for animals, healthy eating, and unplugging from screens to reconnect with the real world.

Community and Family Engagement
The Wilderness Girls program places a strong emphasis on community and family involvement, recognizing these as vital components for personal growth and social responsibility. Through various projects and activities, girls and their families work together to make a positive impact in their communities. These initiatives not only strengthen family bonds but also teach the importance of service and collaboration. By participating in community gardens, local clean-ups, and family-led workshops, girls learn the value of teamwork and the joy of giving back. This approach fosters a sense of belonging and encourages the development of leadership skills, ensuring that each girl feels connected and empowered to make a difference in the world around her.
Brittany Mott - Co-Founder
Brittany Mott is a wife, mother, and lifelong lover of the outdoors. Growing up, she developed a deep compassion for animals and a love for nature while working on a farm, participating in 4-H, and riding horses through equestrian hunter-jumping. By the age of twelve, she was already working, active in sports, and learning the value of responsibility and grit.
Before having children, Brittany built her own dog walking business, and today she balances her full-time role as an event manager with her passions as the co-founder of Wilderness Girls and owner of Wild Child, her homesteading brand. Through Wild Child, she creates and sells natural, organic goods such as soaps, baked items, and detergents, blending her creativity with her commitment to sustainable living.
With Wilderness Girls, Brittany brings these values full circle, creating a space for young girls to learn self-sufficiency, discover the joy of making things from scratch, and grow a respect for nature and animals. Her mission is to inspire the next generation to embrace resilience, resourcefulness, and compassion while developing lifelong outdoor skills.
Paige Dover - Co-Founder
Paige Dover is a mom of three, entrepreneur, and outdoor enthusiast who believes in empowering girls to lead with confidence and courage. As co-founder of Wilderness Girls, she combines her passion for adventure and mentorship to create meaningful, hands-on experiences that inspire young girls to explore, grow, and thrive.
Paige’s love for the outdoors began in childhood, spending weekends camping, fishing, and adventuring with her family and their camping club. Those early memories shaped her lifelong appreciation for nature and the joy that comes from unplugging and connecting with others under the open sky.
A former Sales Manager at Omni Hotels in New Orleans, Paige left the corporate world to take a more entrepreneurial path. Years later, she found her passion in real estate—flipping houses, helping families find their dream homes, and creating opportunities to build stronger communities.
Beyond business, Paige is a dedicated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blue belt, training alongside her oldest daughter, who proudly wears her yellow-and-white belt. Her dream has always been to lead an organization that helps kids excel, and through Wilderness Girls, she’s doing just that—showing the next generation that they are capable, strong, and unstoppable.
